I specialise in relaxed, fun photos that show real smiles, playful interactions, and all the tiny details that make your child so special.
In my welcoming studio, your child can play, laugh, and just be themselves – no forced poses or stiff smiles here! I’m patient and experienced with children of all ages (especially 0-5 years), creating a stress-free experience you'll all enjoy. Sessions are tailored just for you, resulting in timeless portraits you'll treasure forever.

What to expect during your child's portrait session
Children's portrait sessions are a chance to have some fun and create memories! They last around an hour in my studio, long enough to keep young children engaged whilst giving time for background and outfit changes.
We’ll start with a drink, chat and a biscuit so everyone can get comfortable. From there, I'll start guiding your child into play where I get the best portraits. Don't worry if you think they'll be uncooperative, I have a few tricks up my sleeve! It's all about letting them be themselves and allowing them to feel comfortable.
I photograph on carefully chosen plain backdrops for a minimalistic result, paired with a variety of chairs and props. I choose them to suit their outfit and skin tones. Don't worry! I'll guide you on what to dress them in prior to your session.
When the session has finished, we’ll book your reveal appointment for usually around two weeks later where you’ll view your gallery and choose the frames, prints and artwork you'd love designed for your home.

FAQ
How long does a children's photoshoot last?
I allow up to one hour for children’s portrait and birthday sessions.
From experience, this is the "sweet spot" for little ones; it provides ample time for them to settle into the studio environment and explore our backdrops without becoming overstimulated or tired.
When is the best time to book a milestone session?
For "Sitter" sessions (when your baby can sit unaided but isn't yet walking), usually between 6 and 9 months. For birthdays, I recommend booking 4 weeks in advance to ensure we can secure a Tuesday–Saturday slot that aligns with your child’s nap schedule.
What happens if my child is shy or "uncooperative"?
As a specialist in children’s photography, I work at their pace. My Jackfield studio is a calm and welcoming space where I allow children to explore at their leisure. We have a full hour, which allows us plenty of time for them to settle in and get comfortable.
What should my child wear for their portrait?
I recommend timeless, neutral tones or soft textures (knits, linen, denim) that won't date. Avoid large logos or neon colours. Upon booking, I will provide a Style Guide to help you coordinate outfits that look stunning against our studio backdrops. You're welcome to bring a few outfits so we can change and make decisions on the day if you can't decide.
Can we include siblings or the family dog?
Absolutely. I specialise in both children and pets. I usually suggest capturing the individual portraits first while your child is most engaged, then bringing in siblings or pets for the final portion of the session.
How do I choose my images?
Following your session, we will book a Reveal Appointment at the studio. This is where the magic happens! You’ll view your beautifully edited gallery and together with my help we will choose the best photos that capture your little one and achieve your decor and memory goals for your home.
Which package do most parents choose?
Most clients celebrating a milestone or birthday opt for the Grande Gallery (£649). It offers a comprehensive digital gallery and a variety of professional prints for the family. However, if you are looking for "statement" wall art for your home, the Complete Collection (£1,119) offers the best overall value.
Where is the studio located?
You can find me at Fusion, Church Road, Jackfield Telford (TF8 7AP). There is easy on-site parking, making it stress-free to bring in prams, changes of clothes, and birthday props.
